"Grammar" is a word in English that often makes students say "Yuck! I hate it!" In a way, that's similar to saying "I hate architecture" or "I hate building construction", because it's the rules of architecture and building construction that let you walk into a building and know the roof will not fall down on you and the floor will not open up and send you down, down. down.
In this course we will study and talk about the important building blocks that allow us to build sentences and then build paragraphs which leads to building essays. (Essay-building is something that you do frequently when you take other college courses.)
